APIX - Industrial Display Link

APIX® is Inova Semiconductors latest GBit/s Pixel Link, solving point to point connectivity solutions in the vehicle for DISPLAY and CAMERA applications.

 

It is uniquely designed to meet the bandwidth and distance requirements of todays and future automotive connectivity designs. Using CML based differential transmission technologies Video Data, an independent full duplex bidirectional communication channel and even the power can be connected by only using ONE four wire shielded copper cable in the vehicle.

 

The APIX technology is opitmized in terms of EMI by design and well proven to be used in cars. This has also been achieved by collaboration with leading Connector and Cable manufacturers to offer a solid and ruggedized connectivity solution to the Automotive market.

 

The combination of adjustable driver characteristics, selectable operating modes (1 GBit/s or 500 MBit/s) and Spread Spectrum-Clocking enables the optimum combination of minimal EMI, maximum transmission distances, and lowest power consumption.

 

The device is sofware configurable to be adapted to the application specific requirements of bandwith, Video Interfaces and control signals.

 

In addidion Inova also provides the AShell technology which is a higher level communications protocol to enable easy implementation of secure and error resistent communication links over the sideband channels.

 

The APIX technology has been adapted by numerous other Semiconductor suppliers to provide a broad choice of products and suppliers to the Automotive market.

 

 

APIX Automotive Shell - AShell

 

A bi-directional sideband data channel, which allows for control of CMOS camera sensors or display settings, can be implemented.  

 

Aditional gives AShell the possibility to transfer the data without any errors or fixed errors over the full-duplex interface. This is very important for applications, which requires high data security.
