Opticis optical USB-Extender cable

M2 family optical USB extender cable extend the distance of USB connections to 50m max. Converters from electrical to optical at the host end and from optical to electrical at the device end allow fro transaprent operation without any software installation.

While the host-side is either powered over a hybrid cable (M2-2xx) or from a separate power supply (M2-1xx) (please refer to ordering information below).

x = 1: pure optical cable, external power supply at the device end by enclosed power supply

x = 2: Hybrid cable with copper wires for supply of the device end; therefore no electrical isolation

y = 0: Upstream (host end) with USB-A plug, downstream (device end) with USB-A receptacle

y = 1: Upstream (host end) with USB-A plug, downstream (device end) with USB-B plug

zz: Length in m. Standard lengths are 10m, 20m, 30m, 40m, 50m
