The ExtremeLink™ 4500 KVM Extender allows the user to position a computer remotely from the workstation either in Direct Connet Mode or LAN (Local Area Network) Mode. The system supports HD video, all USB device types, and no setup is required. Black enclosures, along with custom and turnkey options, are available.

Applications include security, medical, interactive digital signage and industrial environments where the computer must be remotely accessible.

The ExtremeLink™ 4500 lets you place a computer remotely from the workstation area, connected over an existing or dedicated LAN (Local Area Network).

Features:

• HD Video: 1680x1050 resolution, 24-bit color depth.
  Resolution does not degrade with distance.
• Direct Connect Mode: Directly connect the local extender to the remote extender using a single Cat 5 (or better) cable up to 330 ft (100m). This mode of operation is ideal for installations requiring USB 2.0 up to 480Mbps.
• LAN Mode: Offers more flexibility to network administrators requiring a network KVM that can be set up and easily moved as required. The LAN connectivity allows the system to be utilized on virtually any Ethernet network since it operates at Layer 2. As well, the maximum throughput can be achieved with no TCP/IP protocol overhead.
• Audio: Integrated two channel audio with microphone and headphone I/O.
• OS Support: Compatible with all operating systems. No drivers required.
• Rack Mountable: Allows for up to two units to be mounted in a 19"/1U rack mount kit.
